There’s a new generation of decor that takes inspiration from the modern home office, but it’s not always about decorating the space, says the former CEO of the company behind Pinterest, the popular home-sharing site.
“When we launched Pinterest, it was just a way to have a home office,” says Dan Arel, the former chief executive of Pinterest.
“Now, we have our first billion-dollar business.”
The company is also now a venture-backed company with an investor base that includes Silicon Valley’s Draper Fisher Jurvetson, whose investments include Pinterest.
And while it is a new venture, it has plenty of buzz behind it.
Arel left Pinterest in 2015 after less than a year as CEO and he says he’s confident that the new company will have a big impact on the home office space.
“We’ve had a great year,” he says.
“This is really a startup that is a true competitor.”
